CHARLOTTE ELLIOTT

CHARLOTTE ELLIOTT
Friday and Saturday were busy for Linden - with minor progress being made in his political campaign and other knick-knack areas. Probably the major happening was that the coffee percolater Rubye gave him about ten years ago retired from active service. A spare coffeemaker was unearthed and civilized life will go on.
Sunday brought church services, Sunday School, brunch with friends, a hospital call on Ron, who is recovering from lung surgery, a call (always good to receive) from my Vietnamese friend, sending a sonnet copy to Sharon for evaluation and a very good Sunday evening church service.
The National Church Music Conference will be held at our church again this year. Becky Ahlberg is here for that occasion as she has been several times in the past. She stays in our Mission House. She led the singing at our evening service and told the story of Charlotte Elliott and the writing of "Just As I Am." It is usually thought of as an "invitation" hymn.
Charlotte was born prior to 1800, was a gifted musician, poet and Bible student. She very much wanted to go to seminary but that just was not available to females at that time. Her younger brother did go and counted on Charlotte for guidance. She became depressed and was eventually confined to bed rest and became increasingly physically weaker and less interested in pursuing her talents. Her brother, hoping to restore her to an active life, asked her as a special favor to start corresponding with another person who was in the same condition as Charlotte. She honored his request and expanded it to include many others.
Sometime later a young man called on her to thank her for pulling him through a difficult time. This led to Charlotte realizing that we all can serve regardless of our circumstances. We all can go to God, just as we are, and offer to serve. This lovely hymn is the result of this realization.

It appears that in the last general election there were no Republican candidates in 39 districts scattered across 15 states. These positions offer much more than just good pay. WHAT IF?

Surely you believe that the liberal dominated news media is very, very selective in what “news” they will print or report. Have you noticed the absence of reporting about the improved situation in Iraq? There are, of course, other examples but Linden will assume that you can think. WHAT IF, you complained to the lackluster “news” provider and, if satisfaction is not obtained you then call those who advertise in that medium? Your message could be something like: “ I am disappointed that you choose to advertise in or on …. Who will not report…. Perhaps this approach would pay dividends in the form of less biased news coverage.

STANDARDS AND PRIDE
After accomplishing the Thursday posting, Linden met Bill, Chuck and Paul for our breakfast get together. Paul gave the prayer and performed the reading. These meetings surely get the day off on the right foot. Linden is proud of the Christian witness of his associates.
Later, Linden made some progress in preparing for his own campaign, sent some ancestry information to his Granddaughter and ended the active part of the day by attending an American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Plainfield meeting.
In another vein, Linden has to admit that John McCain was not his first choice when initially rating the potential Republican Presidential candidates. Yet, he has pride in some of the accomplishments of this strong leader.
Would Linden appear to be too critical if he asked how any voter could be so blinded as to be oblivious to the shortcomings of the two democrat candidates? How can one not be aware of the absolute lie told by the one regarding her being subjected to sniper fire? How can one not be concerned about the affinity the other candidate has for a racist, anti American pastor? Do their supporters not require standards of conduct? Have they no pride?

CHICK-FIL-A

CHICK-FIL-A
Wednesday, Linden awakened early, fixed a spot of breakfast (coffee and instant oatmeal,) posted the blog, and was with his first grade Study Buddy at 8:45. Focus today was on doing some word recognition exercises, reading a story and sight recognition of a stack of words. It went well enough that there was time for a couple of tic-tac-toe games - which the Study Buddy won. This will not go on Linden's bio!
Since the Study Buddy session went so well, Linden treated himself (as usual) to biscuits and gravy with coffee at Chick-fil-A. This was followed by picking up mail at the postoffice and at the mail box, throwing most of that away, reading the paper, doing some computer stuff and taking a nap. The nap was preceded and followed by some campaign related activities.
Dinner at Church was all Chick-fil-A food - the crowd was so large that it was served by our serving team in two different locations. Linden had chicken nuggets, cole slaw, salad, fruit cup, a great chocolate brownie and, of course, coffee. It was all very good.
The program following dinner featured Dan Cathy, President and CEO of Chick-fil-A. He gave a very good speech regarding Christianity in the corporate world, played the trumpet very well and showed a good video on the subject of going the extra mile. We also had time to sing a few hymns and to hear a few words from our Minister, Steve White. This was all time well spent.
After dismissal, there was not a lot of strenuous activity before bedtime brought a close to an enjoyable day. Just before bedtime, my twelve year old Granddaughter called with some geneology related questions. I will attempt to email her some information later.

CREDIT UNION CONTACTS

CREDIT UNION CONTACTS
It has now been, if his memory is correct, over two years since Linden and the other members of The Board of Directors of Capital Plus Credit Union voted to merge with Indiana Members Credit Union. History has proven this to be beneficial to the members and employees we represented. Our employees were almost entirely retained and Lamoura Munse, our Capital Plus President, is now an officer of Indiana Members.
Lamoura blesses Linden by serving as his Campaign Treasurer. They met Tuesday for an early morning breakfast in Plainfield. This meeting enabled them to catch up a bit on life in general and campaign progress in particular.
At lunch time, Linden met with Karen Waters, also a friend from Capital Plus days. Linden and Karen try, but are not always successful, to meet on a monthly basis. Two more meetings in the afternoon resulted in Tuesday being called a good day.
Linden has to apologize for not devoting more of his recent postings to the national (to some, more important) campaigns. There is not a lot new to report or comment on. He will probably touch on old news soon. He does agree with Rush Limbaugh that it is strange so little is mentioned about the Mayor of Detroit being a democrat. This is also true of the recent Governor of New York and, also, the current Governor who was put in office to, laughingly, clean up the image. Is it possible that the main stream media has been unable to uncover these facts?

MONDAY MEMORIES
Linden was up posting his blog well before the time the alarm was set to awaken him. At 6:25, Chuck came by, we picked up Bill shortly after and were on our way to the Legislative breakfast. Paul was supposed to join us but he failed to show up. Probably slept through the alarm and that means Linden, at a minimum, is jealous of his ability.
The food was good, the program and the questions that followed were interesting. Laura intended to join us but was a little late. When she arrived she was asked if she was looking for someone. She said, "I'm looking for Linden - he has white hair!" Linden thought that was funny because a veritable sea of white haired persons were in attendance.
Back home, Linden ordered a tax form meeded by his publishing empire, called a printer regarding the CD brochure, exchanged some related emails, used the phone to pay a doctor bill, adjusted his newspaper delivery subscription, postponed a stockbroker meeting and then drifted off to nap while reading the paper.
The afternoon was less hectic. Some work around the place, a trip to the grocery and the high points probably were a phone call and an email from old friends. NO! Linden is not referring to either of them as as being old! You think he is nuts? They are old only in regard to the length of time he has known them One had nice comments about these writings and the other is obviously enjoying one of his books. Linden is still a little nervous about the "old" reference so, he is done for now.

EASTER WEEKEND

EASTER WEEKEND
After completing the Friday posting, Linden had some minor interactions relating to his political campaign and the production of his CD. It was not a pressure packed day. There was little, if any, thought regarding the national campaigns.
Had a prearranged breakfast meeting with old friend, Sam, after a really nice visit in the restaurant, we proceeded to my place to inspect what I had accomplished in regard to filing my taxes: Very little! Thanks to his excellent guidance, they may all be filed on time. I enjoyed the time at breakfast much more than I did looking at taxes and much, much more than I will when I write the checks. My resentment over congressional waste is at the boiling point. Again!
Easter Sunday brought large crowds to church. I attended the 7:45 service and followed that with an enjoyable Sunday School hour. Visited and drank coffee both before and after Sunday School. the rest of the day was very quiet. Had a nice visit with my son and daughter-in-law and that was about it. Fixed nothing to eat worth bragging about.

WHAT A CHANGE!
Yesterday, Linden complained about the dreary wet day. This situation has been corrected. Today was bright and sunny with the pronounced feel of Spring in the air. Happy am I.
We had our regular Thursday breakfast meeting. Paul has returned from Florida and now Jack is missing. Chuck gave the prayer and did the reading. As usual, a very pleasant breakfast.
Had a welcome phone call from Joyce Brinkman (of Poet Laureate fame) saying that next week she will get some exposure to stone carving and will be returning home soon.
One of the emails I received was from Lisa: It contained a picture, taken yesterday, of Bella, her pampered dog who's picture should grace the CD brochure, sitting on top of a huge snowbank. I think Linden will not be moving to Maine.
In her blog posting, Sharon http://sherbitter.livejournal.com/ mentioned the diet spoof I had sent her and followed that with a funny story.
Linden had a really good and talkative meeting with the person who is starting the CD duplication process. I still need to send him a bit of information.
We had a very impressive "Meal Of Remembrance" at Church in the evening. Had a light meal and an enjoyable time: It was a great period of worship. When I arrived back home, I ate a bit more and was in bed in less than two hours.

WET WEDNESDAY

WET WEDNESDAY
It is hard to be upbeat when the weather is so dreary and the rain keeps coming down long after you've seen enough of it to last a few days. This situation, coupled with another less than perfect night for sleeping ensured that Linden would have little of importance (even to him) to say today.

Sure, he had an enjoyable time with his first grade Study Buddy at the elementary school, enjoyed the biscuits and gravy at Chick-fil-A and the other things that are part of his every day life. But, he neither read anything or heard anything on talk radio that immediately stirred his writing juices.

From the political standpoint, Linden's focus was on his own campaign. He answered some mail and prepared to participate in two upcoming candidate presentation nights. Probably the most enjoyable item in this vein revolved around taking his bio to The Hendricks Flyer, having his picture taken there and really enjoying the interaction with the Flyer staff. My son, Brian, worked for The Flyer when he was in his high school years and I will always have good feelings for that paper.

Maybe tomorrow we will address a matter of more widespread significance.

WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?

FAITH without works is dead. James 2:26.
CHANGE unidentified may hold danger. L. Swift 2008
HOPE without definition is meaningless. L. Swift 2008
-----
WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?
This posting is directed to those democrats voters in Iowa, Wyoming, Vermont, Wisconsin, Virginia, Nebraska, Minnesota, Colorado, Connecticut, Kansas, Utah, North Dakota, and Idaho. There are probably other states that are largely populated by whites that gave the majority to Barack Obama in their recent candidate selection process, but, I missed them in the selection process.
Linden, intentionally, did not list those states with large black populations: One would have to be statistically unaware to not know that about 90% of the black voters will opt for the democrat candidate and close to the same percentage will vote for the black if that choice is offered. One has to wonder if the white voters followed this same type of selection procedure, would they be considered racially bigoted?
Considering that the flap over Obama's pastor has pretty well dominated the political news in the recent past, one tends to forget the Obama association with a reputed crook in Chicago. So, perhaps the question should not be "what were you thinking?" Probably a better way to word the question is "what were you feeling?" After all, poor thinking can lead to suspicion of stupidity while "feelings" can be described as a very caring trait.
I suppose one could justify this selection by offering the excuse that there was just no worthwhile alternative, and some would think this to be true. Regardless, how could you select that party when both candidates have stated that they intend to raise taxes and have strongly implied that they would make no major effort to curb runaway spending?

It appears that in the last general election there were no Republican candidates in 39 districts scattered across 15 states. These positions offer much more than just good pay. Even if these districts can reasonably be considered “lost causes,” the effected taxpayers need to have a choice.

BLESSINGS ABOUND

BLESSINGS ABOUND

Don't ever say "blue monday" to me! Monday, for Linden, was a day filled with blessings. First, my post office mail included a package from Peter that contained the master copy of the CD we had recorded in Maine at Thanksgiving time. My music sounded good to me and was especially meaningful because it had been on the "gonna do someday" list for at least 15 years.

A check of my computer revealed the draft copy of the brochure that will accompany the CD. Lisa just did a great job putting this together. I particularly liked a picture from one of our trips to Virginia that showed Rubye in the background. I only wish that I had progressed to this point with the project before Rubye passed away - not because she would have thought that my music was great but because she would have been so pleased for Peter, Lisa and myself.

Also on the computer was a notice that my bio had been entered on the Hendricks County election web site. It, too, was really, really well done. You may access it by clicking on the site below, clicking on "County Candidates" and scrolling down to my bio.

http://www.co.hendricks.in.us/vrweb/new_page_3.htm

Also, about 9:30 pm, as I was finishing the computer tasks, there was a rap on the door and a friend had brought me back the tire he had repaired for me. I am so blest!

Even my evening meal tasted very good. This is not always the case when I cook. Happy me!

OBAMA'S SPEECH

FAITH without works is dead. James 2:26
CHANGE unidentified may hold danger. L. Swift 2008
HOPE without definition is meaningless. L. Swift 2008
-----

OBAMA'S SPEECH

Linden just would never have considered the possibility that Obama would be speaking on March 15, 2008 in Plainfield, Indiana. Or, for that matter, on any other date. That is not supposed to happen in my town. Reasons given for the speech location ranged from its proximity to the Indianapolis airport to Plainfield being the location of a large Islamic Center. Linden listened to the speech broadcast. I suppose that is something like ailment diagnosis.
He started his speech with the customary "thank you's" - including the organized labor contingent and several individuals. Few were from Plainfield: I heard later that most of the attendees were from Indianapolis. He followed with an oft repeated litany of complaints about various situations within our country. He is a good speaker from the standpoint that he says and repeats, and repeats the things his audience want to hear. They do want to hear cost analysis.
He will fix the broken health care system, spend more to provide better education, pay higher salaries, provide jobs, provide $4,000.00 per student in college tuition assistance, reduce demand for energy, fight in Afganistan but not in Iraq, etc. "We can do all these things if we come together."
He mentioned (I think only twice) his "former" pastor (who was his current pastor and part of his campaign effort until; some of his hateful racist comments became newsworthy about three weeks ago.) I think he also mentioned the alleged crook he was, possibly is, associated with in Chicago.
Questions included, "how do we stop abuse?" Answer: "help make this a top priority and send more money to the states to raise awareness."
"energy?: Answer: "find new ways to get energy without adversely affecting global warming. Tax and spend more." (Never a mention about increased oil drilling or refinery construction.)
"China?) Answer: "well, we owe them a lot of money so we can't make them really mad. Stop giving tax cuts to people who don't need them."
"How to stay involved at the grassroots?" Answer: " government should not be a way to get rich. I want to expand government service."
"How to encourage patience?" Answer: "not address all things at once, immediately review orders, calling on Joint Chiefs, take care of the unions, reform healthcare, change laws."
"What about No Child Left Behind?" Answer: Competition is fierce. Test is a poor tool which is administered badly. Allocate more resources."

Linden must apologize for his note taking ability - more correctly his lack of ability to read the notes that he had taken. With the frequent references to spending more money, I think it is safe to say that Obama is another of a string of tax and spend liberals. Since this vote buying approach works, it is no wonder than many Republicans have, unfortunately, been saying some of the same things.

LISTENING

FAITH without works is dead. James 2:26

-----
LISTENING

Linden had the time and the opportunity to listen to a bit of the Rush Limbaugh program yesterday and it confirmed why he is Linden's favorite source of real news. Of course, Linden has almost completely quit watching what are considered to be the primary news sources so, maybe there is another unrecognized good source out there. It is absolutely amazing what the main stream media fails to adequately report. The following touches upon what I think I heard.

First, a well known Clinton campaign associate appeared to charge that if Obama were white, he would not get a second look as a Presidential candidate at this stage of his rather unimpressive career. Granted, he is a very good public speaker. That appears to be it. What has he to offer in the realm of solid accomplishment? Linden believes that the Clinton associate is on to something that the MSM has almost completely missed.

Secondly, after listening to some of the statements made by the pastor of Obama's church, one has to wonder to what extent Obama has embraced the "hate whitey" philosophy. It is no wonder it took so long for Obama's wife to become proud of America. In Linden's opinion, rational thought does not appear to be part of the Obama support group. This opinion was formed without checking out the report of his association with unrepentant former terrorist bombers within the U.S.

Please do not consider this writing to be an endorsement of Mrs. Clinton.

ME, YOU, THEM

FAITH without works is dead. James 2:26
CHANGE unidentified may hold danger. L. Swift 2008
HOPE without definition is meaningless. L. Swift 2008
-----

ME

Tuesday provided another restless night for Linden: That poor old man has not been able to get his sleep straightened out for months. This leads to a less than stellar performance the following day. So, in somewhat of a stupor, I walked a little over a mile, helped my first grade Study Buddy at his school, had coffee (and food) with friends, met with my Campaign Chairman (he returned to Florida in the afternoon,) called my Campaign Treasurer, and performed some other campaign related functions. Had dinner and a video presentation at my church and ended the day with phone calls and some internet activity.

YOU

It is hard to tell who all may be reading these postings and where they are all located: I know it gets some readership over a fairly wide area. I envision the average reader to be a Conservative Republican who is deeply concerned about the direction our country appears to be going. They are able to think and analyze the meaning behind words and events. In another time, they would be called "the salt of the earth."

THEM

They, as is true of the "YOU" group above, do not all fall into the same category. The largest readership group in this group are believed to be classified as Democrats and democrats. Democrats (capitalized) are those such as Sam Nunn and, to a lesser degree, Joe Lieberman. The democrats (not capitalized,) by far the larger group range from the far left end of the leftist movement which may be described as treasonous forces of evil. At the other, more moderate, end of this grouping is the sector that relies on "feelings" instead of rational thought. Analysis is a foreign word without any meaning and they badly want "change" without defining it. There is never a thought that a tsunami almost always represents change. Is there
long term and rational hope for our country?

ACTIVITIES & CONCERNS

ACTIVITIES & CONCERNS

Linden's day started with the regularly scheduled Republican breakfast meeting - the meal and the speaker were equally good. This meeting was followed with one with a TCMI representative. TCMI is the organization that oversees the operation of the ministry effort in Austria that I visited last year. Hard work but a most enjoyable mission trip. We came to my home after this last meeting to view a CD that was made at the TCMI banquet last fall. The CD started with me speaking of my mission trip.

I will share just the tip of the iceberg of my concerns with you - I am sure some are based on fact (they may all be) while others are the result of writings by others which I have not verified. I continue to believe that our country is less safe than it was just a few weeks ago and that the reason for this centers on an ineffective congress. The Senate, in regard to our safety, seems to be more effective than the Nancy Pelosi run House.

I am concerned that the Bush tax cuts will not remain in force. I read that in 1999 under Clinton the taxes on a single person making $30,000.00 were almost $4,000.00 higher than they were in 2008 under Bush. For a couple making $60,000.00 the Clinton penalty was about $8,000.00. Each one of the democrat Presidential candidates are committed to a tax increase as are many of the congressional democrats.

We have a too high percentage of taxpayers who would not dream of voting for a Republican. Go figure!

FULL DAY

A morning campaign meeting, where we discussed (over coffee) advertising decisions and costs, lasted until almost noon. I grabbed a snack and was soon on my way to Indianapolis to see a friend who operates a tire recycling business. While there, he replaced my four extremely worn tires. It was nice to meet his daughter and be shown around.

I have wanted to visit that interesting business for a long time. He has used tires brought in by the truckload. They sort them into different grades of usability. Those that are too badly worn to be usable are loaded onto a conveyer and dropped into a hopper where they are chopped into much smaller pieces and these pieces are conveyed to a truck to be taken to a landfill. I enjoyed the education.

I listened to talk radio (probably mostly Rush Limbaugh who is the best available source of news)while driving around. I think I heard quotes from some political figures which resulted in me asking the following questions:

1. Did Tom Daschle say that being the wife of the president does not constitute training for the office?
2. Did one of the Clinton staff say that Obama lacks the necessary experience?
3. If this is what I heard, does this mean that two different democrat leaders agree that necessary experience is in short supply within their list of candidates for the Presidency?

Went to an evening meeting regarding the American Cancer Society and their first ever Relay for Life event to be held in Plainfield. I have previously attended these events in Danville and Mooresville and am very supportive of any effort of this type.

CAMPAIGN START

What this posting subject really means is that, with the national campaigns (Linden's primary interest) now being in slow motion, it is a good time for him to see what, if anything, he has accomplished in regard to his own local campaign. Since he decided to run very late in the decision making process and then almost missed the filing deadline, please do not expect too much immediate progress.

With an early morning church related breakfast meeting on Friday and morning and evening church services on Sunday sandwiching a car problem on Saturday, Surely you will agree that it is nothing short of miraculous that meetings with the Campaign Chairman were held on both Friday and Saturday. Another is scheduled for today. This is enough to cause Linden to think that his campaign started pretty well.

GOOD DAY START

FAITH without works is dead. JAMES 2:26

HOPE without definition is meaningless. L. Swift 2008
-----

GOOD DAY START

Linden thought it was rather nice to awaken without a thought of recent happenings in the world of competitive politics. This lull in what seems like an endless campaign season is rather nice. He walked about a mile or so at Church then went to his usual Thursday morning breakfast meeting.

It was just Bill Chuck and myself: Jack had a scheduled out-patient surgery today and we did not expect Paul to attend. Bill gave the opening prayer and, later, the reading he had selected. It was just our usual happy time together: Lots of laughing and some pleasant interactions with those at nearby tables.

One topic of conversation was "time." Speciafically, views of the time involved in God's formation of the world in the first six days and how that time may be measured in present day 24 hour days. Since time itself appears to mean little or nothing to God (can we even imagine that,) perhaps his days at that time would represent thousands of years when measured in present day time. Interesting thoughts but, I suppose, it really does not matter.

Toward the end of this busy day, it was time to be snapped back to present time reality: Coverage of the bombing of a recruiting station in New York City was being presented in little detail. Let's see, would that be the act of one or more traitors or could it be world wide terrorism has invaded our shores again? Maybe we should ask Nancy Pelosi or Madman Murtha or others of that ilk. I justify this thinking by recalling that the main stream media was almost universally "convinced" that the Oklahoma City bombing of a few years ago was the work of "right wing conservatives." I could puke!

It appears that in the last general election there were no Republican candidates in 39 districts scattered across 15 states. These positions offer much more than just good pay. Some of these districts are listed below in State, District and general location sequence. Please help find a Republican candidate in these districts. Even if these districts can reasonably be considered “lost causes,” the effected taxpayers need to have a choice.

Pennsylvania 1 Philadelphia area
Pennsylvania 14 Pittsburgh area

Rhode Island 2 Warwick area

Texas 9 Houston area – One Found?
Texas 16 El Paso
Texas 20 San Antonio
Texas 28 Laredo

Virginia 3 Newport News area

In recent ratings, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste considered 32 of the present officeholders (democrats) to be hostile, 6 unfriendly, and 1 lukewarm to taxpayers. The National Taxpayers Union granted a grade of “F” to 36 of this group while 3 of them rose to a “D”.

GEORGE & DANA

Linden's posting of, I believe, March 4, mentioned George Soros, the extremely rich democrat who specializes in funding various radical (the opinion of Linden and others) left wing democrat groups. A reader who lived in Eastern Europe during the times following the fall of communism in that area, wrote to concur with my assessment of his (Soros') worth to civilized mankind. This reader said his last name should be "Sorrows."

Linden has also mentioned Nancy Pelosi in his postings (is congress back from vacation yet?) His opinion of her value to this country is about the same as that he holds for Sorrows. A fund raising piece of mail arrived from Dana Walsh, a Republican who is running for the seat Pelosi now holds. Another, from the socialist workers party and a fairly well known (but hopefully not well regarded) independent are also in the mix in this district.

As is mentioned under the picture of Linden, he is just a poor old retiree with few assets. In spite of this minor handicap, if it may be so called, and his own much smaller campaign, Linden will try to send the Walsh campaign a very small donation. After all, he sent a like amount to the campaign that resulted in the defeat of Tom Daschle. Linden will send his donation to:

JOHN McCAIN

Linden is gonna quit setting his alarm clock! He can never sleep that long and saving energy is important. After arising, taking a quick listen to the news and then switching to soothing classical music, wading through a bunch of forwarded messages (dial-up access is wonderful,) he is now ready to address (modestly) today's subject. Obviously, he has not restricted this posting to the stated subject.

The news related that McCain had wrapped up the Republican nomination and that Huckaby had dropped out. Linden would have much preferred Fred Thompson or Mitt Romney to have been in the race until this point. But, you accept what you get. Now, McCain can focus on raising funds and selection of the best possible running mate. No advice from Linden in either of these areas at this time. Did you ever wonder how the democrats are able to raise so much money? Can you accept that the media has misled you for years? Probably not! The answer to the first question is: It is because the democrats are the party of the rich.

The more interesting road to the nomination is occupied by democrats. Yesterday's results indicate that the "experience" of Clinton wins over the "change" and "hope" of Obama and the "pride in America" of his wife. Guess the experiences of former President Clinton should have also been mentioned. The listened to newscast stated that each of these candidates received 47% of the popular vote. One has to wonder what the other six percent are looking for for.

From Linden's perspective, some may prefer to word this as, "slightly biased perspective," it seems that watching the democrat show is somewhat like a doomed man watching the selection of the person who will trip the guillotine.

JEALOUSY

JEALOUSY

Linden has been blessed with good friends for much of his long life. One particularly good friend recently expressed some reservations about Linden's February 27 posting of "An Old Democrat" and his February 19 posting of "Treason?". Linden"s thinking was that each of these two postings were reasonably well worded and expressed valid questions. So, he had to believe that the expressed reservations were based on faulty analysis. Then, he read two presentations by a really good writer who also is blessed with the ability to adequately research the subject matter.

This is not the first time I have mentioned my admiration (jealousy) of Kyle-Anne Shiver: She is blessed with great ability, as referred to above. Her writings appear in The American Thinker: www.americanthinker.com

If you can read (and understand) "Military Recruiters Necessary for our Common Defense" of February 29 and "George Soros and the Alchemy of 'Regime Change'" without developing real fear of the cancer that is growing within our country, then you have a very strong constitution indeed. Read them!

When I was in Austria last year, I had with me something over 5,000 Russian rubles which I hoped to convert into about $2,500.00. I am not sure where or how I came into possession of these rubles but I suspect they were a gift from Rubye: Something to make me feel rich! It was painful to find out that they had been devalued and are now without monetary value. Until I read the writings mentioned above, I never suspected that I should blame George Soros.
