CURRENT CRISIS #3

THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA. If you, gentle reader are even halfway observant, you will have noted a very strong MSM bias against Republicans in general and, most specifically, the McCain/Palin ticket. Linden does recognize that you may not be observant.

The Charlie Gibson interview, in the opinion of this writer, was a total sham if the intention was to present him as an unbiased interviewer. I understand that the actions of the Couric person were even more so. Of course you already know that Linden has a strong dislike for almost everything that appears on the “network” stations. So, I saw none of that appearance. Linden needs to watch that particular program so he can start boycotting the products which are advertised there.

The idea of having Gwen Ifill moderate the debate which will be aired tonight, is absolutely ridiculous. She is, in Linden’s opinion, more biased than he and has a much wider audience to try to influence. I understand that she had an Obama endorsement type book debut yesterday: Linden will probably never have a copy of that monument to poor judgment.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
Monday: prepared some computer documents, went to grocery, worked harder than normal at chopping out some roots, did some wash, took some items to Church for them to pass on to others, stock market really fell so, for the first time in a long, long time, I bought some stock, the “bailout bill” failed (good) and I talked to Brian for a time.
Tuesday: Had some problems with MS Word while preparing to post the blog, went to the post office and dollar store, put license plate on the car - it was the last day to do so, more work around the goldfish pond – surely I will have it ready for winter soon. I’m not ready. Did some bathroom cleaning and some ironing. Quite a little homebody.
Wednesday: Arose at 5:00 to post blog and, as usual, listened to classical music while doing so. They played a beautiful orchestral rendition of Verdi’s Cara Nome from Rigoletto. It is one of my favorite pieces: It always makes me think of an injured bird fluttering down from the sky. Paul Gunning took me to the eye specialist: The report was not as good as I had hoped it would be. The bad left eye, where I only have peripheral vision, is as good as it is going to be and the good (oxymoron) right eye has the start of macular degeneration. Dinner at Church followed by a study period. Saw Jack Burlison, among others, there: He started with the Indiana State Police 52 years ago today and that is when we first met: I had started six months earlier.
