STRIKE SEVEN ON OBAMA

Judgment: Financial Crisis. Again, Linden is well aware that it is normally three strikes and you are out. However, in this instance, in order to avoid any hint of racial bias, Linden decided to allow Obama extra strikes. After all, in this case “out” means determined to be unfit for public office.

A great number of people are concerned about what impact the current financial crisis will have on the remainder of their lives and that of those they love. Linden may be included in that concerned group.

Granted, the stage was set for the sub prime loan granting process to wreak havoc on the well being of many throughout the world by congressional actions (or lack thereof) primarily before Obama set foot on those hallowed halls in D.C.

However, because of his close association with many of the sleaze balls who were involved in many peripheral activities of this horror story, he can not be held blameless. Having, at one time stated that this approach to lending had been a good thing, it is understandable that he made no effort to stop the runaway train.

This is the last in this series of postings that have investigated the fitness for office of Barack Obama: The forthcoming compilation will deliver the verdict.

THE 10-16-08 DEBATE:

The following judges the “winner” in answering each of eight questions plus a closing comment:
1. Financial: McCain introduced “Joe The Plumber.”
2. Deficit: McCain “Hold the line on spending.”
3. Nasty Campaign: Obama lied, McCain provided examples.
4. Running Mate Qualified: McCain provided examples of Biden shortcomings and Palin strengths.
5. Energy and Climate Change: McCain, drill now.
6. Health Care: Neither adequately explained.
7. Overturn Roe v. Wade: O – no, M – Y.
8. Education Cost/Benefit. No memorable answer.

In Linden’s opinion, McCain was the more convincing in all except #6, which was a tie. In addition McCain gets extra points for not using the words bi-partisan at all and for saying “My friends” only once.

Some professional pundits called Obama the winner: They are wrong. Again.
