WORTHLESS STATISTICS
The report that the unemployment rate is now 9.5 percent has little, if any, relationship to the people who are unemployed but would really prefer to be working.

A June report indicated that 125,000 people had lost their jobs and an additional 652,000 had just quit looking for work. Are they not all part of the unemployed pool? Probably if they were all figured into the unemployed percentage the figure would approach the horrendous record of Roosevelt after he had been in office a few years. It figures that he is a hero of Obama.

LINDEN'S LIFE
The posting today is the 700th of Linden’s career as a blogger. Never expected to be that prolific.

Went for a walk early Wednesday morning then went on to the credit union and the post office. Then, inside until it cools off. Paul had called about going to the North American Christian Convention in Indianapolis but, even though I would have enjoyed much of it, the day would have become tiring.
Received an e-mail from Julie saying she and Kenneth were almost ready to catch a plane to London. Traveling to attend a funeral and being involved with estate matters does not make for a happy trip.
