COMMENTARY: AUGUST CHRISTIAN STUDIES

Church services, led by Steve White, continued with the eight-month-long story of the Bible: the review of the story concluded this study August 31. Sunday School classed, led by John Lee, followed the same lessons as were presented at church. Our small group of guys that meet for Thursday breakfast was led by Jack, Chuck, and myself in prayer and readings. Steve White presented studies of Galatians at our five Friday morning Men’s Prayer Breakfasts. I attended s gospel-bluegrass concert at Plainfield CC, men’s meetings at Chapel Rock and Kingsway CCs, and a CDCMF meeting at Bluff Creek CC. At our monthly Golden Glows luncheon we toured our children’s wing which is under construction: it will be a welcome addition to our church.

Friday brought the Men’s Prayer Breakfast and later in the day Dan and Diana came by: he re-hung my Ireland poster but it fell again after he left. Saturday I watched I.U. win their first football game of the season, then a bit of the Notre Dame game, I got take out food at Chick-fil-A for dinner then watched two horse race…would have won one and lost one if I had been betting. Alison sent me her first message from college.

Other than church and Sunday School attendance, nothing of great interest to you or me happened on Sunday.
