COMMENTARY: TALKING AT BREAKFAST
John joined me as I was having biscuits and
gravy at Chick-fil-A, he had the same and our conversations touched
on several subjects. Included was his mention that he was now reading
A Tale Of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. We agreed that it starts
with the description of situations comparable to the present day. You
may check out our thinking by reading the following which was copied:
"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way - in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.[2]

MOSTLY ABOUT ME lswift8@aol.com
Monday started, as mentioned
above, with biscuits and gravy at Chick-fil-A. Later, I went to the
post office, the cleaners, and a bank. Talked to both Brian and Julie
and did a bit of writing.
