OBAMA'S SPEECH

Linden just would never have considered the possibility that Obama would be speaking on March 15, 2008 in Plainfield, Indiana. Or, for that matter, on any other date. That is not supposed to happen in my town. Reasons given for the speech location ranged from its proximity to the Indianapolis airport to Plainfield being the location of a large Islamic Center. Linden listened to the speech broadcast. I suppose that is something like ailment diagnosis.
He started his speech with the customary "thank you's" - including the organized labor contingent and several individuals. Few were from Plainfield: I heard later that most of the attendees were from Indianapolis. He followed with an oft repeated litany of complaints about various situations within our country. He is a good speaker from the standpoint that he says and repeats, and repeats the things his audience want to hear. They do want to hear cost analysis.
He will fix the broken health care system, spend more to provide better education, pay higher salaries, provide jobs, provide $4,000.00 per student in college tuition assistance, reduce demand for energy, fight in Afganistan but not in Iraq, etc. "We can do all these things if we come together."
He mentioned (I think only twice) his "former" pastor (who was his current pastor and part of his campaign effort until; some of his hateful racist comments became newsworthy about three weeks ago.) I think he also mentioned the alleged crook he was, possibly is, associated with in Chicago.
Questions included, "how do we stop abuse?" Answer: "help make this a top priority and send more money to the states to raise awareness."
"energy?: Answer: "find new ways to get energy without adversely affecting global warming. Tax and spend more." (Never a mention about increased oil drilling or refinery construction.)
"China?) Answer: "well, we owe them a lot of money so we can't make them really mad. Stop giving tax cuts to people who don't need them."
"How to stay involved at the grassroots?" Answer: " government should not be a way to get rich. I want to expand government service."
"How to encourage patience?" Answer: "not address all things at once, immediately review orders, calling on Joint Chiefs, take care of the unions, reform healthcare, change laws."
"What about No Child Left Behind?" Answer: Competition is fierce. Test is a poor tool which is administered badly. Allocate more resources."

Linden must apologize for his note taking ability - more correctly his lack of ability to read the notes that he had taken. With the frequent references to spending more money, I think it is safe to say that Obama is another of a string of tax and spend liberals. Since this vote buying approach works, it is no wonder than many Republicans have, unfortunately, been saying some of the same things.

Some of these districts are listed below in State, District and general location sequence. Please help find a Republican candidate in these districts.

Alabama 5 Huntsville – One Found?
Alabama 7 Birmingham

In recent ratings, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste Considered 32 of the present officeholders (democrats) to be hostile, 6 unfriendly, and 1 lukewarm to taxpayers. The National Taxpayers Union granted a grade of “F” to 36 of this group while 3 of them rose to a “D”.

WHAT IF?

Surely you believe that the liberal dominated news media is very, very selective in what “news” they will print or report. Have you noticed the absence of reporting about the improved situation in Iraq? There are, of course, other examples but Linden will assume that you can think. WHAT IF, you complained to the lackluster “news” provider and, if satisfaction is not obtained you then call those who advertise in that medium? Your message could be something like: “ I am disappointed that you choose to advertise in or on …. Who will not report…. Perhaps this approach would pay dividends in the form of less biased news coverage.
