EMPLOYERS AND EMPLOYEES:
Linden has been employed in many different capacities by numerous people and organizations. He has acted as the agent of the employer in the area of making personnel decisions but has never been an employer. Speaking of other than government employment, he has usually felt that the employee owes a debt of gratitude to the employer.

In the private sector, the employer has an obligation to himself and/or the stockholders to make money and to grow the company. The employees are a tool he uses to accomplish this.

The employees initially accepted the terms and conditions offered by the employer. If conditions or circumstances dictate that a change should be made in these terms and conditions, the employee has (if fortunate) the right to accept or refuse these new conditions.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
Our first significant snowfall of the year came last night—about two inches, I guess. I walked the distance to pick up my morning paper but didn’t venture out again for a while. Then, I went to the post office, to see my mechanic, by the Chamber of Commerce, to the credit union, gas station, and grocery. The roads were in good shape when I did venture out on them.

LINDEN'S BOOKS AND CD:
Linden’s only distribution source, Secondhand Stories, closed November 20. He will need to find one or at most two new places to offers his one CD and eight books. Until then, if you must have one or more of his productions, I suppose you can contact him at LWDcomment@aol.com .

He still needs to sell a few more items to ensure funding of a fishing boat and net through IDES for some needy family. His 2009 efforts have already funded two goats and a water buffalo.
