UNOPPOSED DEMOCRATS (2)
This listing of Republican failures to provide candidates in Congressional Districts is believed to be valid as of about April 1, 2010. It is, of course, not guaranteed to be absolutely accurate.

Many of us believe that our country has been in decline since the democrats became the majority Congressional party in 2006. Please do what you can to ensure that these democrats, many of them entrenched, will be opposed by a candidate of Conservative belief. States Montana through Wyoming were checked for this second listing. Of these 25 States, it appears (in Linden’s opinion) that the Republicans did their job well in 21 States. Following are comments regarding the other 4 states.

New Jersey…filing deadline April 12. No Republican candidate in Congressional Districts 1, 8, 9, 10, and 13. There is a Libertarian in CD 1.

New York…filing deadline July. No Republican candidate in CD 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 16, 21, 27, and 28. An Independent has filed in CD 8.

South Carolina…major party filing deadline has passed; other parties have until August 16. No opponent yet for the democrat in CD 6.

Washington…filing deadline June. No opponent yet for the democrat in CD 6.

Linden will probably have a wrap-up (for now) of this subject on Thursday.

LINDEN'S LIFE
Left home early to get donuts to take to Voter Registration. The donut shop was closed so purchased some at a grocery. Drove the roughly 15 miles to Danville and, again, was the first in the county to vote. That means that I and those others I support were for at least a moment leading the ticket. This year I am just running to be a Delegate to the Republican State Convention. I have been selected to be a delegate I believe 15 times but am not confident this year; I appear far down on the list of those who have filed.
Later, I helped Harold take some rocks from the goldfish pond area and put them in his truck. He moved one rock and there was a snake under it.
Had some rain and hail in the evening. I found an old book to leaf through…it had belonged to my Dad and I wasn’t aware of its existence. For dinner I fixed a baked potato, baked a meat loaf that Sheri had brought some time ago, and warmed up a piece of each of the two Danish Kringles that Katia had sent me. Great meal!
Watched 24 and Butler basketball later.

Reaching out. I normally contribute modestly in a number of areas. Now I also contribute a portion of book sales income to new or enhanced areas of support. I also accept contributions for this effort. I was so pleased with the 2009 results that I’m expanding the effort in 2010. New or expanded recipients in 2010 include:

January, TCM, Austria, ministry scholarship. http://www.tcmi.org/
February, Hillsdale College. www.hillsdale.edu
March, African ministry. http://www.kissesfromkatie.blogspot.com/

The Book Nook, 33 E. Main, Mooresville is a local source of Linden’s books and CD.
