SOME VOTERS DON'T (CAN'T) THINK
We need no better evidence to support the claim made in the title of this piece than the selection of Mr. Greene by South Carolina democrat voters. Linden believes this shortage of thinking ability extends to those who voted for our present President.

If you check this site frequently, it will come as no surprise to you for Linden to reiterate that he has great admiration for the thinking and writing ability of Kyle-Anne Shiver. Shortly after starting his blogging effort, almost 700 postings ago, he became aware of her and proceeded to communicate his approval to her. Today, Linden presents a link to an article by her after sharing some of our correspondence following his reading of the article.

First, Linden’s note to her:
I've wondered how we can influence those who voted for Obama. Based upon a most uncomfortable exchange with a dear friend who is one of that group, I wonder if they are teachable in this regard.

Next, her response:
On Obama voters and whether they are teachable or not...we should always remember, I think, that just because someone acts defensive in our presence does not mean that the person will not consider our opinion in private and give it some thought. While many will be too proud to change views in our presence, we have no way of knowing the powerful impact of what we have said when they are alone. Therefore, I think it is imperative for us all to confront, confront, confront. And then we will know we have done all we could.

LINDEN'S LIFE
Awakened and had the blog posting completed before 7:00, had breakfast, biscuits and maple syrup, over by 8:00 and the paper read and the Sudoku puzzle worked by 9:00. Then made a quick trip to Indianapolis, picked up my mail at the post office, and did a few household tasks later. Worked a nap in there somewhere…it really irritates me that I tire so easily.
