This letter to the church in Rome was written by Paul, probably in 56 or 57 A D.

Paul had wanted to go to Rome for some time but his being called to minister in other areas had made the trip not yet possible. The letter is a teaching instrument touching on God’s plan and on righteousness.

Some believe that Peter was in Rome before Paul: if this were so, would not this letter have been addressed to Peter and would not Peter have been included among those who were mentioned at the conclusion of the letter?

LINDEN'S LIFE
This is the eight hundredth posting I’ve presented for your possible education and/or enjoyment. Although I may have occasionally linked to a musical selection previously, starting 10-27-09, I’ve included a song selection with every posting. In the Monday thru Friday sequence, they consist of country, classical, religious, once popular, and often the song of the year.

For me, Tuesday was a quiet day. I had a project that I wanted to move forward with but that didn’t happen. In the evening I watched Butler win a televised basketball game.
