MATTHEW 3:1 – 4:25
John the Baptist was preaching and baptizing in the Jordan river. He chastised the Pharisees and Sadducees and warned that soon one would come who would baptize with the Holy Spirit. Jesus did come and was baptized.
Jesus was led by the Spirit to the desert where he fasted forty days and forty nights. At this time the devil came and tempted him with various promises but Jesus turned the devil away and angels came and ministered to Jesus.
Jesus started his preaching and healing ministry around the countryside and called the first disciples, Peter, Andrew, James and John and great crowds came to Jesus to be healed.

LINDEN’S LIFE
On Tuesday, I had a late breakfast at Chick-fil-A, went on by the drug store and the post office. Back home, Paul called and we went to Panera Bread for lunch. Later, had a nice phone visit with Julie.
