MATTHEW 10:1 – 11:30
Jesus sent out his twelve disciples to preach to the Jews. He empowered them to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. They were to preach the message that the kingdom of heaven is near.
The disciples were instructed on how to conduct themselves, how to find housing, and to be on their guard against those who would do them harm: they were told that the Spirit would guide them. Jesus then instructed the disciples further.
Jesus went on to preach in Galilee. John the Baptist, from prison, sent his disciples to see if Jesus was the one who would be sent. Jesus sent back the message that effectively said that his works, actions, and results proved that he was the one. Jesus continued to speak to the crowd about the greatness of John the Baptist, unrepentant cities, and praise for the Father.

LINDEN’S LIFE
On Tuesday I did some ironing, reading, and writing. Went to the post office and, later, took some mail that had been delivered to the property to the Carter’s. Visited with them just a bit: their little boy is a real cutie.
