MY RACE CAR

Yeah, I know, in my previous mentions of My Race Car I have referred to it as The Peoples Race Car But, I’ve decided to adopt it as my own. Tuesday brought a photo shoot, conducted by Lucas Carter for The American Legion Magazine, of My Race Car. Initial info is expected to appear in http://www.legion.org/ Thursday, March 20 and a full story is expected to appear in the Legion Magazine’s May issue. The photo shoot took place at Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing on Main Street in Speedway. Travis Tetrault and Jason Godby, who started this sponsorship effort and still refer to the car as The People’s Race Car. Karin Miner, who served in the Army in the late seventies, and I, an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, observed the photo shoot. I am hopeful that Lucas will send me a picture of my signature on My Race Car: it appears in this sequence on the right side just behind the driver’s seat “CUTTERS.RT FOLLOW LINDEN SWIFT. Looked good to me.  Come to think of it, “The People’s Race Car” may have appeared on that line too.

Tuesday started with biscuits and gravy with coffee at Chick-fil-A in Plainfield and progressed on through the race car related event mentioned in the above commentary and I was well into the slowdown phase when I ate dinner at the Avon Legion Post. Corresponded with Julie and Alison and had a good phone visit with Brian. It was a good day.
