MAY CHRISTIAN STUDIES

The messages from the pulpit in May were presented by Steve White and related to our continuing study of the story of the Bible. On May 25, we were up to Daniel. The Sunday School lessons, led by John Lee and Mike Isaacs were devoted to the same subject.

Our Thursday morning breakfast devotions were led by Jack, Chuck, Bill, and myself: The Friday morning Men’s Prayer Breakfasts were led by Steve White and were devoted to the study of Galatians. I attended the men’s monthly meetings at Chapel Rock and Kingsway Christian Churches but missed the monthly CDCMF meeting.

My life since my last posting on May 23 included time at Johnson University in Knoxville, TN where my church group was provided with classes, entertainment, great food, and fellowship. Following that, Brian transported me to his home in northeast Ohio where I ate like a champion, visited, caught up on some reading and enjoyed being a grandfather and father. The highlight was a high school graduation and open house/pig roast for Alison and Scott. Julie and Jade came over from Illinois for that event. Six-year-old Jade commented that she was glad that the pig’s privates were not part of the pig roast servings and she was really excited when Brian took her fishing in his pond and she caught a bluegill. Brian brought me back home and he returned to his home on Father’s Day. My family is a large part of the blessings a loving God provides me.
