To date 15 of the projects I have backed were successfully funded and 2 failed to meet their goal and received no funding. Unfortunately one of the unfunded efforts was my own “Ireland Is Calling” effort. The plan to go in September continues: my thanks to friends who have supported my hope.

COMMENTARY: I STILL MISS SOMEONE

While searching sites for a political happening of possible interest to my readers, I happened to come across this song and realized that it has some meaning to many of us: even thought the words will not fit every situation. It was 12 years ago last Tuesday that Rubye drew her last breaths as we were holding hands. Yes, I still miss her.

Friday brought the Men’s Prayer Breakfast at 6:00 and, later, I attended the Vacation Bible School closing ceremonies. As usual, they were great! Almost 900 kids and 3oo adults were present today.

Saturday Austin, Amanda, and I had breakfast together. From there I went to the post office, a grocery, and home for the day. Had a nice phone visit with Julie.

Sunday brought church and Sunday School attendance. Later, said “goodbye” to Austin and Amanda as they are returning to Ghana.
