Now funded!!
To date 16 of the projects I have backed were successfully
funded and 2 failed to meet their goal and received no funding. Unfortunately
one of the unfunded efforts was my own “Ireland Is Calling” effort. The plan to
go in September continues: my thanks to friends who have supported my hope.

COMMENTARY: WHICH FLAG TO PURCHASE?
One can never go wrong by purchasing Old Glory. The
confederate flag, due to a concentrated media effort, has almost completely
fallen from grace. Perhaps one should consider the Mexican flag: it rarely gets
media attention and what it does get seems not to be critical. It is wildly
popular in some areas and may deserve consideration. The article linked below
presents a view of the ban the confederate flag effort.

Friday
started with the Men’s Prayer Breakfast and, since I hadn’t slept well, was
followed by a great nap. Later I picked up my mail, was busy at home, and
corresponded with Brian.
Saturday
brought a busy day at home. As I started to the Legion Post to pick up my
chicken dinner I stopped to see who was in the RV parked by the barn…it was
David and Patti Jefferson, formerly involved with the PCC ministry. Had a nice
visit and loved their RV. They completely downsized and now are engaging in a
traveling ministry. Later, I had a good
phone visit with Julie.
Sunday
started with church and Sunday school attendance. Mostly watched TV sports in
the afternoon and evening.
