COMMENTARY: TELL US THE FULL STORY

The article linked below is the reason for this particular posting. It illustrates why the taxpaying public would be better served if Congress would do two things: 1. Reduce the budget of the offending bureaucracy by the dollar amount considered to be wasteful and 2. Require major spending initiatives to be individually approved by Congress. Linden believes that in fairly recent history the budget was reported as being at 3.7 trillion dollars and this article mentions 4.3 trillion dollars...is Linden's memory bad or are those entrusted to prepare the budget not doing their job??? Disgust is warranted.

On Wednesday I drove to Greenwood and met Mary, a high school classmate for breakfast. She approved the Ireland pictures that Brian had snapped and I, later in the day, approved the cookies and fudge she sent home with me. In the evening I had dinner and attended a study at church.
