COMMENTARY: A TIME FOR PRAYER
Few things have more effect upon your day to
day life and the enjoyment of it than politics. So, it follows that
we should have expectations in regard to those we believe should be
our leaders. We are preparing to elect our President, holder of our
most important office. Should we not expect ourselves to select the
one who looks, acts, and conducts himself or herself in a
Presidential manner in all regards? Should they not be able and
willing to correctly answer the most critical questions facing our
nation? Should we not seriously consider who and why we select the
one we do? I pray that we will not abdicate our responsibility.

Friday started with Men's Prayer
Breakfast and we had biscuits and gravy. Good! Napped when I
returned home, after picking up my mail I did some writing Made soup
for supper.
Sam came out on Saturday and we
had breakfast at the Legion Post: saw several friends and a nephew
that I hadn't seen for years. After picking up my mail I went to the
drugstore, watched Butler win a basketball game, and did some
writing.
Sunday brought church and Sunday
School attendance followed by brunch with friends. Not a real
productive afternoon.
