COMMENTARY: RATING PRESIDENTS, #7:
There have been 13
Presidents that I remember as having held office in my lifetime. If
things go as planned the next six weekends will present my thoughts
and evaluation of this group. I rated President Nixon as number 7.
President Nixon was viewed
as being anti communist, he pushed for school desegregation, ended
the American participation in the Viet Nam war and had several other
very worthwhile accomplishments. On the negative side, his
involvement in the Watergate political scandal resulted in his
resignation from office. Some of the things he was accused of seem to
be rather commonplace now.
Today is a repeat of
yesterday's links. For a short article I guess the first article
linked below states it about as well as can be done and I will not
even attempt to add to it.
Articles linked
below start with one regarding the commentary subject while the
other two linked articles may be used from now until election day in
the hope that every voter will have read them and, of course, the
hope is that they will think about the contents.

-------MOSTLY ABOUT ME lswift8@aol.com
Thursday started with breakfast with the guys at 8:00 with Bill and Chuck being absent. Went on from there to a store and the post office. Had a note from Julie, a nice call from Brenda, and talked to Alison. Did some paperwork. Really like the version of the song linked below.

REMEMBER NEW 9-5-16
The democrats brought you
Obamacare.
Obama, Clinton, Reid, and
Pelosi lead the forces of evil.
Hate crime laws should be
overturned.
Baseline budgeting is a
taxpayer insult.
Hillary Clinton's actions
risked our national security.
Your life is affected by
politics every day.
Only you can think for
you: do it and vote.
|
SCOTUS: undeserving of respect.
Your political party is
not more important than your country!
