COMMENTARY: DANGEROUS DAYS EXAMPLE:
In the days that follow an election that will result in a change of controlling political parties it is not uncommon for the party that has just lost an election to try hard to place some favored employees or associates in plum Civil Service jobs. In today's world that could result in some liberal democrats being placed in jobs that should rightly be filled by career employees. The article linked below addresses this.

Thursday started with the usual breakfast with the guys at 8:00: I led the devotions. At 11:30 our usual Golden Glows luncheon consisted of an excellent Thanksgiving lunch prepared and served by the church staff. It kicked off with the staff singing a funny song. The whole affair was wonderful. Then Tommy and John Thomas Oaks presented a very good program in the church sanctuary. It was a great affair! Dan, Diana and Tory dropped by my place later.
