FIRST MAY WEEKEND
Without a doubt the most important happening worldwide in May 2008 is the birth of Julie's daughter, Jade Kensington Hobby. Kenneth, Julie and Jade are doing fine. Pictures indicate that Jade, like her Grandfather Linden, is absolutely flawless.
Friday started with the usual Men's Prayer Breakfast followed by some political and book signing preparation. Linden introduces his new CD to the world tomorrow at signings at two bookstores. There was an extremely nice piece in The Hendricks County Flyer regarding this effort and Linden in general.
Saturday started with a men's meeting at a church in Avon: Linden attends that twice a month. Then the two book signing events. It appears that it will be some time before an adoring crowd clamors for Linden's signature but they were satisfactory events. In the evening, when Linden arrived home, there was little movement until bedtime.
Sunday brought Church, Sunday School, paper reading, a nap, a few politically related visits. Had several telephone visits with old friends in the evening. Julie called just about bedtime to tell me Jade's name.
For the second time since these postings began, there will be no posting tomorrow: It is election day in Hendricks County and that will get Linden's attention. His race is important and he has heard it mentioned that there is a somewhat interesting presidential contest also. As he understands it, they are lower class candidates.
