78 & SUPREME COURT JUSTICES
Linden recently read or heard a short blurb which stated that Americans now have a life expectancy of 78 years. As luck would have it, Linden is now 78. Perhaps the end is near. Although he has other plans, he finds the idea of hitting the wall more acceptable if he surmises that Justices (ha) Breyer, Ginsburg, Kennedy, Souder and Stevens would do their country the great favor of joining him on judgement day.
Their decision which effectively granted enemy combatants more legal rights than our own military is afforded is just another example of how badly we are served when liberal judges are appointed. Those responsible for scuttling the nomination of Bork some years ago owe the American people an apology for their shortsightedness.
This Guantanamo decision should call to attention in great detail the liklihood that at least one of our current presidential hopefuls would appoint one or more of the same type of muddled thinking specialists to fill any vacancy.

LINDEN'S LIFE
Had the usual very enjoyable Thursday morning breakfast meeting with Bill, Chuck,
Jack and Paul. Bought a little gas ($4.19 per gallon: Thank you Bill Clinton for your veto of a drilling bill and thank you Congress for your continuing failure to encourage drilling and refining.) Drove to Danville to join in an affair for a departing County Council member. Exchanged emails with Julie and did housekeeping type chores.
