HELP WANTED 3: MA thru NJ

When Linden started this blogging effort last October it was primarily because he was absolutely amazed and disappointed to learn that 39 of the congressional districts (almost 9%) had not fielded a Republican candidate in 2006. What a sorry effort by the affected national, state, district and local Republican leadership. They, through lack of effort, allowed potential Republican voters to be denied the opportunity. It does not matter if there are few of these voters in those districts – the other side needs to know that not every person they represent approves of the, often poor, effort they make.
Linden will use the five days this week to advise you of his present concerns in this regard. Naturally, he cannot be totally confident of the accuracy of the information and some states have not yet had their primary elections. But, regardless, this will give you an opportunity to attempt to ensure that adequate representation is provided. So, the listing will show what he believes to be those districts within each state that have no Republican candidate and will just show a question mark in those instances where the lineup is as yet uncertain. This should change from time to time and we should all hope that the Republicans are better represented than they were in 2006. It would be nice if all of our candidates were rock-ribbed conservatives but a less than perfect candidate at is better than none at all.

LINDEN'S LIFE
Tuesday brought the unwelcome knowledge that Linden is capable of playing (?) really lousy golf. The first 3 holes resulted in a score of 23 which included a 9 on a par 3 hole and 2 lost balls. The next 6 holes were much more acceptable. Perhaps this is one of the ways one learns temper control. He had one of his better evening meals: Ate the leftovers Helen sent home with him Monday.
