NERVES

Linden must admit that this posting is based more on feelings (he hates this because it is the way democrats usually base their actions and opinions) than it is on solid research. Bear with him as he stumbles along.
He gets very nervous when considering the probable results of the recent Supreme Court decision about granting rights to enemy combatants. Are they (with four exceptions) absolutely nuts?? Is there a reason why there is no effort to remove Stevens, Souter, Ginsburg, Breyer and Kennedy from office?
Sharing Linden's disgust, and proving that there is more wrong in Michigan that just poor government, is his perception of the actions of Senator Levin and Congressman Conyers. It appears to Linden that their primary interest is that of making President Bush look bad and that they will go to any lengths to do just that. Do they not know that he will be replaced by election in five months? Are they unaware of larger problems that they could and should address? Are there no suitable replacement candidates for these two???

BAD NEWS
After devoting the last 5 postings to discussion of the need for Republicans to ensure that they have a candidate in each of the congressional districts, Linden was disheartened to learn that they now need a candidate in the Indiana 7th district. NUTS!!!

LINDEN'S LIFE
Friday brought the early morning Men’s Prayer Breakfast: There, Bill mentioned the need of prayer for The Tavriski Christian Institute in The Ukraine. It seems that they are once again embroiled in a previously settled and unwarranted suit over property rights. Pray for staff, students and successful resolution of this problem.
This day brought a very enjoyable lunch with a friend and, since he had, once again, slept poorly the previous night, several naps while attempting to read.
Saturday was another early breakfast and a writers group meeting. Also, it brought a surprise email from Gary, one of Linden’s pilgrimage companions in Spain. He remembered that Linden had left a memento at the 75-kilometer marker as we approached Santiago and he and his party adopted that practice of recognizing their attained age.
Sunday brought Church and Sunday School services plus a really great evening concert at Church: There were probably 500 attendees. We sang hymns as did solo performers, there were three or four short skits and great performances by our 35 member Men’s Chorus and a 15 piece band. All this was followed by ice cream. Great day!
