PLAYING GAMES:
One of the allusions to a situation wherein a half-hearted effort is being made to accomplish something that is perhaps worthwhile is “you’re just playing games.” It seems that this description fits very nicely with what our three branches of government are providing the taxpayers.

A worthwhile playing games effort was made by Senator Tom Coburn when he objected to waiving the requirement that a 767 page healthcare related amendment be read. The Clerk read for roughly an hour before the objection was withdrawn. Linden thinks that this game should have been played to completion.

A much less worthwhile, bordering on criminal, game playing effort has been being played by those who most strongly support the healthcare bill. The blatant buying of votes is a disgrace to both the buyer and seller. Surely there are better “public servants” that would be willing to act responsibly.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
After completing my blog posting, I, as I usually do, checked a blog http://www.kissesfromkatie.blogspot.com/ that I find interesting. It was very touching.
It was cold, 12 degrees as I started toward my Study Buddy session. I stopped at the complex entryway to pick up my morning paper, and turned the car East, toward the sun. The windshield was still slightly fogged up, the sun blinded me and I almost hit a car! It was driven by the Pier 14 secretary who was getting ready to turn in and start her day’s work. I felt foolish!
After the Study Buddy session, I went to Chick-fil-A for biscuits and gravy and then on to the post office. I had another doctor appointment in the afternoon. Did little of note afterward.

LINDEN'S BOOKS AND CD:
Linden’s only distribution source, Secondhand Stories, closed November 20. He will need to find one or at most two new places to offers his one CD and eight books. Until then, if you must have one or more of his productions, I suppose you can contact him at LWDcomment@aol.com .

He still needs to sell a few more items to ensure funding of a fishing boat and net through IDES for some needy family. His 2009 efforts have already funded two goats and a water buffalo.
