NOT NEWSWORTHY:
There was little political news that Linden considered to be worthy of comment over the weekend. Some stale writings concerning the democrat effort to saddle the nation with a healthcare monstrosity and there were a few over hyped writings regarding Obama’s words regarding national security. What he said had been said before. UGH!!
--
Links that Linden presents today include an article regarding Sarah Palin being featured at a Tea Party convention; a good Michelle Malkin piece regarding Hillary Clinton’s State Department; a poetry reading by Linden’s young and vivacious friend, Joyce; and, thanks to Linden’s memory being spurred by the gift from Julie of a CD produced by one of his friends from Air Force days, a music link.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
On Saturday, I walked through the snow to my car and went to the post office to pick up mail. The mail box on the property had been knocked down by a snow plow and when I tried to straighten it up, it broke off at the base.
Bob and Pati Hughes joined Thuc in coming to Plainfield to celebrate my birthday. Bob brought a cake and Thuc, of course, had stuff for me. It was really pleasant.
In late afternoon, Brian, Sheri, and Alison came by to take me to an Irish place for a birthday dinner. He said there was a new place in downtown Indianapolis but when we parked, we went in St.Elmo’s (a very nice and expensive steak house) –I couldn’t imagine what Brian was thinking. We went downstairs and Julie, Kenneth, and Jade were there along with Sheri’s two teenage boys, Marc and Scott. To say I was surprised would have to be a major understatement.
We had just a wonderful meal and lots of fun. They made it the most memorable birthday I have ever had. I think I have one more such celebration and then the birthday celebrations for 2010 will be over.
On Sunday, I attended morning and evening church services and had a meeting at church just before noon. When I returned home, Julie, Kenneth, and Jade came by with presents before taking Kenneth to the airport to fly back to Chicago. I believe Julie will fly to Tulsa tomorrow. Then, Brian and his family came by before starting their drive back to their home in Ohio.
Julie and Brian just outdid themselves in planning their visit and my surprise. No wonder I love them.
