With all the snowblowers that are operating throughout our country, Linden appreciated Rush Limbaugh saying that today should be called “National Combustion Engine Day.” So much for global warming!

Linden had intended to devote today’s posting to a warning to Congressional Republicans to be very, very careful within their upcoming meeting with Obama regarding healthcare. However, the K-A Shiver article linked below covers the subject better than Linden ever could.

LINDEN'S LIFE
Was still snowed in today but Bob or Ray applied the snowblower in the afternoon and I made it to the post office. Kent called later to see if I needed anything. I informed the school early that I would not keep my Study Buddy appointment-they had delayed the start of school anyway so it didn’t matter. Received a call from the church saying that our usual dinner and program had been cancelled. .

GOOD WORKS
Thanks to those who purchased books or a CD or donated to the effort, we were able in 2009 to provide, through IDES, two goats, a water buffalo, and a fishing boat with net to needy families in third world countries.

In 2010 we will diversify our good works. New recipients are:
