A DAY LATE
In spite of Nancy Pelosi, The Corpseman, and others of that ilk being willing to lie, bribe, and misrepresent in order to move the healthcare monstrosity forward, there seems to be no real news to present on that front. Therefore, we will focus this posting on Irish music…had not yesterday been committed to Bible review, Linden would have brought this to you then.

Although Linden wasn’t there at the time, he believes that his direct Swift ancestors sailed to the New World from Ireland almost 300 years ago and the Trotter clan came even earlier. Surely some of Linden’s love for sad music traces back to that time; no others can sound like the Irish.

A You Tube version of Rathlin Island by Cathie Ryan could not be found so the first verse words precede the music links:

I haven’t slept since Wednesday evening
There is no sleep with all this grieving
No music here where once was singing
Where once was singing

LINDEN'S LIFE
Nothing worthy of major mention on Tuesday. Wednesday brought a successful session with my Study Buddy in the morning with dinner and a program at church in the evening. When I returned home, Brian had left me a message so I emailed him and then, Lisa, Rubye’s daughter, called me from Maine: she has been looking into possible trips for me to take to Ireland. Also, she said that she captured an injured hawk that had long sharp talons. She works at an animal shelter so the hawk is now in good hands.

GOOD WORKS
Thanks to those who purchased books or a CD or donated to the effort, we were able in 2009 to provide, through IDES, two goats, a water buffalo, and a fishing boat with net to needy families in third world countries.

In 2010 we will diversify this area of our good works. New recipients are:

January, TCM, Austria, ministry scholarship. http://www.tcmi.org/
February, local need, not part of original plan.
February, Hillsdale College. www.hillsdale.edu

The Book Nook, 33 E. Main, Mooresville is a local source of Linden’s books and CD.

Feel free to make others aware of this blog and our efforts.
