II CHRONICLES
The first nine chapters have to do with the very good relationship between Solomon and The LORD. Solomon was King over all of Israel for forty years and then died. His son, Rehoboam became King.
In short order Rehoboam had caused the ten Northern tribes to break away, leaving him only the tribes of Benjamin and Judah. He turned his back on The LORD and warred with Israel and finally lost much of the power of his kingdom to the Egyptians. He died and his son, Abijah, became King.
Abijah won a big battle with Israel and appeared to be a godly King as was, mostly, his son, Jehoshaphat, until right before he died.
Of the following sixteen kings, twelve could easily be rated as bad, Hezekiah and Josiah were good while Jotham and Jehoahaz were so-so.
As the book ends, roughly 535 years before the coming of Jesus Christ, Babylon has destroyed Jerusalem and enslaved the living population. Later, King Cyrus of Persia decreed that the people could return to and rebuild Jerusalem.

LINDEN'S LIFE
Went to the post office and credit union, did two loads of wash, and intended to go to a “meet the candidates” affair in the evening but didn’t feel like going when the time came.
