CAMPAIGNS
Now, as primary campaigns set the stage for the general election this November, may be a good time to consider recent happenings.

A big, and surprising for some, was the result of the democrat Senate race in Pennsylvania: Arlen Specter lost even though he had the support of President Obama.

In another less surprising Pennsylvania result, Republican Tim Burns was the loser in a special election. This would have been a really good one to pick up. Maybe in November.

Senator Blanche Lincoln, the incumbent Arkansas democrat, was forced into a runoff election because she failed to garner 50% of the vote.

In a victory for we Tea Party supporters, Republican Rand Paul carried the day in Kentucky to be the Republican Senate nominee.

In the links below, Lloyd Marcus asks what could be a painful question of blacks professing to be Christians. Next, a report on the effects of the curbing illegal immigration law passed in Oklahoma two years ago. Next, Sarah Palin addresses administration officials who criticize the Arizona Law without reading it. The music link brings you a beautiful song that is about 150 years old.

LINDEN'S LIFE
Today was the last Study Buddy session of the current school year. I liked my student…there is some talk of me working with her again next year. I went to the post office, credit union, and grocery before having a great dinner at church. A study of First John ended the activities for the day. I was pleased to hear that it is possible that Marlin Stutzman may attempt to fill the vacated House seat in Northeast Indiana.
