ISAIAH
Isaiah, perhaps the most revered of all the Old Testament prophets, lived roughly 700 years before the birth of JESUS CHRIST.

He was a prophet of Judah at the time the Northern Kingdom was falling to Assyria and the South (Judah) was being threatened. Thanks to Isaiah, Jerusalem was saved once but, later, also fell.

Isaiah outlined the false religiosity of the day and spoke of the anger of GOD regarding it and the price that was to be paid before the Jews would be allowed to return.

His predictions extended from his own time through and beyond the time of the coming of JESUS CHRIST.

LINDEN'S LIFE
Performed the usual routine and was engaged in perhaps my least favorite pastime for several hours: looking for something that I had mislaid. Did find a bill from the eye specialist that I had also mislaid. Surely I will get the check mailed.
I intended to mention yesterday a view of heaven that Sharon had in her June 14 posting, check: http://sherbitter.livejournal.com/

REACHING OUT. I normally contribute modestly in a number of areas. Now I also contribute a portion of book sales income to new or enhanced areas of support. I also accept contributions for this effort. I was so pleased with the 2009 results that I’m expanding the effort in 2010. New or expanded recipients in 2010 include:

January, TCM, Austria, ministry scholarship. http://www.tcmi.org/
February, Hillsdale College. www.hillsdale.edu
