Modestly I say that second place goes to the linden-would blog posting of Tuesday, January 25.

Third place goes to the GOP rebuttal by Paul Ryan.

Last place in this grading goes to our President, Barack Obama. The speech may have been well written and well read but, based upon rational thinking, it was without merit. Lasted too long, contained no solutions for our existing problems, and the meaningless infrequent applause added nothing.

The sad Irish song presented today goes back to the time of the Irish potato famine. Julie got me a CD with Cathie Ryan singing it a couple of years ago. I like it very much.

Can’t believe how little I accomplished today: got a haircut, had dinner and attended the program at church and watched a movie after I got back home. Arrrgh!
