A GLIMMER OF HOPE

A GLIMMER OF HOPE
With the media focus being so much on the wrangling over spending and debt, it is sometimes hard to find anything hopeful to focus on. It does appear that a movement is afoot to repeal the banishment of incandescent light bulbs…that would be good news…how could such a law ever have been considered in a positive light? Maybe next we will get to see an effort to do away with federal funding for the ethanol abomination. It will take years to correct a major portion of the mistakes made since the democrats took control in 2006. God help us.

LINDEN’S LIFE
Friday: Men’s Prayer Breakfast at 6:00. Did some writing and minor tasks. Met with Dave for a few minutes regarding our upcoming concert.
Saturday: Republican Breakfast Meeting at 8:30. Our Senator, Connie Lawson, discussed redistricting. Dan reminded me that he and I had appeared before a Legislative Committee about twenty years ago about the redistricting that was underway then. Went to a Habitat For Humanity house dedication at 4:00. I was on the HFH for Hendricks County Board until resigning about ten years ago. Plainfield Christian Church was instrumental in the construction of this house.
Sunday: church, Sunday school and brunch with friends. In the evening, we had services in the shade on the north property…it was great! Carrie, who grew up in PCC was the speaker…she just completed a year teaching English in Kosovo. At the end, we had ice cream.
