JUDGING JOURNALISM
A Leonard Pitts opinion column appeared in the April 5 Indianapolis Star. His first paragraph: “There is a storyline coalescing among conservative pundits about the case of Travon Martin. It says there’s been a ‘rush to judgment’ against George Zimmerman, the man who stalked and killed an unarmed 17-year-old black kid he found suspicious.” The last sentence in the column: “ So fine, let us not rush to judgment. But, let’s not rush from it, either."
In the opinion of Linden, a less gifted writer, formed after hearing reports of inaccurate MSM reporting of this incident, Pitts, in his first paragraph, is guilty of rushing to judgment and The Star is guilty of transmitting tripe.

MOSTLY ABOUT ME
Bill took me to our Thursday breakfast with Chuck and Paul: Chuck’s mother passed away since our last meeting. Shortly after lunch, Robert brought my car back and will probably do repair work early next week. Dan and Diana dropped for a visit and coffee later. Brian called for a short visit.
