AN
IMPORTANT ELECTION
The
June 5 (today) recall election being held in Wisconsin is important from
several different standpoints. Involving Gov. Scott Walker, Lt. Gov. Rebecca
Kleefisch and four State Senators, all Republicans, a loss by any one of them
could set back the tremendous forward progress made under Walker since his
somewhat surprising earlier election win. Wisconsin has regained the solid financial
footing it has not enjoyed in some time. A loss by the Republicans will almost,
in Linden’s opinion, mean a concurrent loss for the taxpaying public. Also it
could easily adversely affect the November election and thereby the taxpayers
across the country.

ABOUT ME lswift8@aol.com
The
days following attempting to put a close to May have been gratifying due to the
calls, visits and words received. Saturday, I spent some time with the very
nice family who are here from Poland to participate in VBS this week. Sunday
was church, Sunday school, brunch with friends, and a call from Lisa, Rubye’s
daughter who lives in Maine. Monday was a review of the mail, trips to the
grocery, post office, a computer repair shop, and the ink cartridge refill at
Indy Ink & Toner in Avon. I rarely see Cheryl since she moved west of Lafayette
but she came by for a nice long visit. I am blest.
