IMMIGRATION

IMMIGRATION
It was a last minute decision to make immigration the subject of this posting and it is doubtful that it will be one of Linden's better efforts. He was just visiting a few of the sites he frequents and happened upon "Numbers USA". After just a few minutes he decided to post on the subject while hoping better writers and more thorough researchers will adopt the subject as a cause.
Items Linden believes he grasped while at Numbers USA include Border Patrol agents Ramos and Campeon were given long prison terms for shooting an illegal alien drug smuggler who was escaping from them. It seems these agents deserved better treatment: Perhaps a bonus.
On October 29, 2007, Indiana Senators (actually mostly D.C. residents) Bayh and Lugar were reported to have voted for what was described as an amnesty bill.
Rep. Heath Shuler (D. - N.C.) introduced the Save Act to address at least one part of the immigration problem. So far, 10 Democrats and 178 Republicans have signed a discharge petition to force Nancy Pelosi to act. Linden believes that 30 more signatures will force action. Should Rep. Shuler be a Republican?
