MEN'S CONFERENCE ++
The conference started Friday night and consumed most of the day on Saturday. It involved probably about one dozen Indianapolis area Christian churches and was at held at Serendipity at the Metropolis mall in Plainfield. About 400 men attended.
The music, and there was lots of it, was good although it was geared, it seemed, to an age group younger than the old man who is writing this. There were three excellent speakers, good interaction with other attendees and, as usual, Rhonda Wagoner and her staff at Serendipity were up to the task.
Brad Long presented a talk on accountability and the desirability of having someone in your life who becomes comfortable presenting means of shaping your life to become a happier and more worthwhile person. Dale Justis presented “Success and Significance” which touched upon his business life and the days that have followed. He will soon be leading a group to India. I missed the “marriage” breakout session presented by Dave and Kim Margolius but he was interesting in the wrap-up session.
For me, the most interesting was the presentations by Eric Alexander www.everestnews.com - his references to helping the blind in mountain climbing expeditions were just almost unbelievable. He presented a bit of a DVD which illustrated a blind friend he was leading up Mt Everest that was really scary. It will be worth your time to check him out on the Internet.
My time was well spent at this conference.

LINDEN'S LIFE
Friday brought the Men’s Prayer Breakfast at my church, a trip to the bookstore, phone calls, etc and stiffness and soreness from my fall the day before.
Saturday was little other than the Men’s Conference.
Sunday brought church services, Sunday school, a nap, paper reading, evening church services and Super Bowl watching.
