OBAMA'S FIRST MONTH

Surely the first month of the Obama Presidency has not brought the “hope” and “change” that deep thinkers had in mind when they threw their support to this inexperienced neighborhood organizer.

Let’s review what has actually happened: 1. The stock market continues to fall as it reflects lack of confidence in Obama. 2. Those who have saved or invested for their golden years continue to be crushed by the lack of confidence in Obama. 3. Those who believed that Obama would bring job stability have been largely disappointed as plant and business closings continue as owners display their lack of confidence in Obama. 4. Those who are “pro-life” have been greatly disappointed as Obama has exported his “pro-death” belief. 5. Those who have been and are pro Israel have been disappointed with his pro Palestinian approach. 6. Those who favor fair taxation have been crushed by the Obama-Reid-Pelosi approach. 7. Those who favor honesty have been disappointed with the caliber of those Obama has appointed.

So, this is the first month. Only 47 to go.

To those who voted for Obama, Linden will “hope” that your apparent lack of judgment will adversely affect our country for a relatively limited time.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
Friday: Awakened about 4:00 and was at Men’s Prayer Breakfast well before 6:00. Went by the bookstore. Handled several emails and phone calls.
Saturday: Julie is in the area but it didn’t work for us to get together. I attended the Chamber of Commerce dinner and auction in the evening: Had a good time but didn’t bid on a thing this year.
Sunday: Church and Sunday school. Julie and Jade came by for a visit shortly after I returned home. Hadn’t seen Jade since Christmas, she is ten months old now, is growing and is a very good baby. We went to a restaurant for lunch. And, after they left, my major accomplishment was attending evening church services. I am pretty pleased that my intention to read through the Bible this year has resulted in me being on schedule after two full months!
