PRIDE:
Linden has been almost (not quite) bordering on being contented for some of the recent days. That, of course, does not make any sense at all. Finally, I realized it was because President Obama, Secretary of State Clinton, and Speaker of the House Pelosi were out of the country looking foolish for many of those days. No wonder I was almost happy.

I was surprised and disappointed in Michelle Obama some months ago when she said that for the first time in her adult life she was proud of our country. Now I understand. She had spent years being close to her husband and now had a chance for a diversion. When I think of him, I myself have a great deal of difficulty in being proud of the thought processes (if any) utilized by those who elected him.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
Friday brought Men’s Prayer Breakfast. Later, forwarded the edited copy of book #8 off for a quote from a printer. As usual, Sharon performed wonderfully as the editor.
Saturday I had another prayer breakfast at Kingsway church. We had a wedding near the little lake on the property in the evening and, later, missionaries from Tanzania arrived. They will be active in our Vacation Bible School this week. Over 900 children have pre-registered.
Sunday brought church and Sunday school services and I was largely inactive later. Did delete some old entries from the LINKS section below and added three new ones: Sarah Palin speaks re Obama, a video of what appears to be a non-functional Federal Reserve questioning, and an article on Obama’s recession. All worth watching.

Peter and John, in JESUS’ name, heal a crippled man and explain to the crowd how they did this. Peter and John were arrested but released the next day after being told not to spread the gospel. They just could not stop. Ananias and Sapphira lie about money they had received and when found out they fell over dead. Many people were healed. The Jewish leaders persecute the apostles but can not get them to stop teaching.
