JOE WILSON:
Several references have been made to S.C. Rep. Joe Wilson shouting, “you lie” as President Obama was saying that the democrat healthcare approach would not cover illegal immigrants. Wilson later apologized for the shout not being appropriate. Perhaps it was.

If, as been often reported, the existent bill is carefully worded to allow coverage without checking the citizenship of the applicant, then, it appears that Wilson may be correct. This bill is a disgraceful mish-mash of undesirable approaches to a problem that is not yet as severe as is often reported.

Since the President has apparently not yet (if ever) rewritten the bill, if the legislatures do not dramatically revise what they have produced to date, and if the democrats continue to not allow the Republicans to change the monstrosity, then, it would appear that Wilson, although perhaps acting inappropriately, was correct. A bill of this length (over 1,000 pages) has to be written as it is for the purpose of making it difficult to fully understand. Disgraceful!

Had the usual thoroughly enjoyable breakfast with the other four guys. At 11:30, the Golden Glows had a pitch-in picnic at Hummel Park. The food was good and a good time was had by all. When I returned home, I was very tired and did not discover until later that I had neglected to take my morning medicines. I must become more careful.
