THURSDAY'S PAPER:
Linden, although he often wonders why, subscribes to The Indianapolis Star…he enjoys working the Sudoku puzzle but is often irritated with the news content and especially the selection of columnists for the editorial page.

An Associated Press (ugh) article reported that democrats largely supported the administration decision to try terrorist murderers in New York City. A rudderless ship…crazy!

Another article reported that Senator Byrd is now the longest “serving” Senator. Another reason to support term limits!

The Associated Press reported that Johnny Depp (whoever he is) was judged by People Magazine (whatever that is) to be the “sexiest man alive” (whatever that is.) None of Linden’s friends were polled. Tripe!

A 21 year old woman pled guilty to neglect because she didn’t stop her boyfriend from beating her 15 month old daughter to death with a belt. Others were also present! The perils of co-habitation! The boyfriend claimed that the child failed to show him respect. One wonders (among other things) how he earned the respect he felt was his due.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
Another less than perfect night for sleeping. Had our usual Thursday morning breakfast meeting…Paul was absent. I met Sam at The Milano Inn to provide him with his birthday lunch. It, as usual was very enjoyable and I brought some of the food home and ate it in the evening. As I was leaving, I thought, probably because of my many long term friends, of Lefty Frizzel singing “My Old Pal.” I couldn’t find a You Tube video of it but linked to another of his songs for you.

LINDEN'S BOOKS & CD:
Linden’s only distribution source, Secondhand Stories, is scheduled to close November 20. He will need to find one or at most two new places to offers his one CD and eight books. Until then, if you must have one or more of his productions, I suppose you can contact him at LWDcomment@aol.com .

He still needs to sell a few more items to ensure funding of a fishing boat and net through IDES for some needy family. His 2009 efforts have already funded two goats and a water buffalo.
