THE NATIONAL DEBT:
Linden listened to just a bit of the Rush Limbaugh radio show in the late afternoon. One of the callers asked what would happen if China called for repayment of the huge debt we owe them. Then, having a very full stomach, he drifted off to a half-sleep condition and had the following dream like thoughts:

What if all of the rich and hapless D.C. leadership we have who voted for TARP, the stimulus rip-off, the hate crime mistake, the healthcare tragedy, and who will vote for the cap and trade major tax and other freedom-busting legislation, were, to pay toward our national debt, assessed 90% of their net worth plus their pension plan as partial repayment of this debt?

This group would include all of the democrats and perhaps as much as 10% of the elected Republicans. I know, I know it is but a dream but how nice it would be to penalize those responsible for the harm they have done present and future taxpayers. Those responsible for these tragedies desperately need to pay some penalty for their ongoing attack on our country.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
All five of us attended our usual Thursday morning breakfast meeting—it went well. Our church staff prepared a fabulous Thanksgiving meal for our Golden Glows November luncheon. I ate turkey and dressing with gravy, green beans, a Jello salad, sweet potato casserole, and pecan pie. It was wonderful! Bob and Joyce Silvers presented a very good musical program. The affair led off with the staff singing “Ten Days of Thanksgiving.” It was funny.

LINDEN'S BOOKS & CD:
Linden’s only distribution source, Secondhand Stories, is scheduled to close November 20. He will need to find one or at most two new places to offers his one CD and eight books. Until then, if you must have one or more of his productions, I suppose you can contact him at LWDcomment@aol.com .

He still needs to sell a few more items to ensure funding of a fishing boat and net through IDES for some needy family. His 2009 efforts have already funded two goats and a water buffalo.
