APPROPRIATE PUNISHMENT = ?
In the early days of our republic there were several forms of punishment meted out to those who failed miserably in performing their duty. That is why they are called, “THE GOOD OLD DAYS.”

Those punishments which come to mind are, being locked up in the stocks, tar and feathers, and horsewhipping. I suppose there were forms of more terminal punishment but, since the group of congressional nuts passed the hate crime legislation, Linden is a bit nervous about appearing to be overly biased.

Linden believes that the healthcare related legislation that passed the House will come to be known as one of the major loss of freedom days and those that voted for it will become known as treasonous snakes.

YOU should note that 176 Republicans voted against it and 219 democrats voted for it. Disappointing as it is, the lone Republican who voted for it comes from an overwhelmingly liberal area and, I suppose, could be thought of as having almost no choice if he wants that district to have anything resembling a voice of sanity in the days to come. Linden would prefer that he sacrificed himself.

LINDEN'S LIFE:
On Friday I attended our Men’s Prayer Breakfast at 6:00, went to the post office and book store. Spent a portion of the day looking for notes I had misplaced.
Saturday I attended the men’s meeting at Kingsway church and then took my books and CD to a craft fair at an elder care facility. While there, heard that my cousin, Bill, and his wife, Kathy, were residents there. They were not in their room when I checked after the craft fair closed. When I arrived back home, I had a note from them telling me of their new address.
Sunday brought church services and Sunday school, brunch with friends, newspaper reading and watched a televised Colts football game. In the evening, I went to the annual congregational meeting at church.
