PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN DAY 5

INTENTIONS AND CONSIDERATIONS

11-7 Being frugal, rarely vacationing, and not subscribing to cable television allowed Linden Swift to accumulate funds for a special 82^nd birthday event in early January 2012. The New Hampshire Presidential primary election was selected. Winning is the primary goal. Being under funded and probably the oldest candidate means that it would take a miracle to achieve this goal. Republican National Convention selection would require a second miracle. Therefore, a secondary goal is to exceed the 362 votes Al Sharpton amassed in a previous election.  This could result in  Linden being awarded  his own  TV show.

11-7 Read 1 Corinthians 9:24.

11-7 Consider Herman Cain for VP: a man with uncommon ability. Being twice as black as the President, he should receive twice as many racist motivated votes.

11-8 Consider Sarah Palin for VP: a woman with uncommon knowledge and ability. Even knows where Naknek, Alaska is located.

11-7 Campaign donations will not be solicited or accepted until after the Republican Convention.

11-9 Foreign policy will be set after reviewing recent successes. WAIT!…there are none!!! Now what?

11-7 Following completion of my term(s) I will have my Presidential pension  reduced 10% per year until it reaches the level of workforce (non governmental) average pay.

11-10 If interns are allowed in my White House, they will not be allowed under my Presidential desk.

11-11 Linden will never refer to the Marine Corps as Marine Corpse.

It is hard for me to believe that one month from now it will be sixty years since I offered to serve in the U.S. Air Force. I was accepted then. It is even harder to believe that I am again offering to serve by being in the January 10 New Hampshire election for U.S. President. Will I be accepted again?

Thursday was a busy day: I met with the other three guys for breakfast and then Jack and I went to see Paul…he is up and about but surely shows facial signs of his bicycle wreck. At 11:30 I went to church for the great annual Thanksgiving dinner provided to the oldsters by the church staff. The food was really great as was the program. Before going to church, I visited with Enoch and Hayford at the Mission House. They serve in Africa. I also am thinking again of a trip to Ireland in about a year…I received an E-mail that gave he hope for the kind of trip that has been difficult to plan.
