Linden readily admits that his knowledge was very limited as to what would be affected in case of a government shutdown. If the article linked below is as accurate as Linden believes it to be, a shutdown may be just a whole lot better that the alternative.

Thursday started with breakfast with the guys at 8:00. From there, I went to the hospital in Danville to see Sherry Chittenden before her operation for a broken hip. It was raining pretty heavily at that time. Back home, after picking up my mail, I stayed busy with the usual tasks.
