To date 17 of the projects I have backed were successfully funded and 2 failed to meet their goal and received no funding. Unfortunately one of the unfunded efforts was my own “Ireland Is Calling” effort. The plan to go in September continues: my thanks to friends who have supported my hope.

The video and poem linked below Just struck a chord with me. We have so much to be thankful for and some of that thankfulness is due to those who have served, suffered and sometimes died for those of us who are presently living. I am thankful that I served with legions of others and that I am still alive.

Thursday started with the regular group of guys meeting for breakfast: 6 present. Then, at 11:30 there was the monthly Golden Glows pitch-in luncheon: good food and good program presented by Kent McPhail. I went to a bank, picked up mail, corresponded with Julie and Brian and was busy at home. The old hymn linked below is presented for your weekend pleasure.
