COMMENTARY: RATING PRESIDENTS, #4 & #10 :
There have been 13 Presidents that I remember as having held office in my lifetime. If things go as planned the next six weekends, starting 9-16-16, I will present my thoughts and evaluation of this group. Today I rate President George W. Bush as number 4 and President Carter as number 10.

George W, Bush, the eldest son of previous President Bush, after graduation from college pursued a career in the oil business and was also the owner of The Texas Rangers baseball team. He married the impressive Laura Welch in 1977 and was elected President in 2000. Eight months into his first term the terrorist attack known as The World Trade Center bombing took place. This resulted in America conducting “The War On Terror” in Afghanistan and, later, in Iraq. The first continues and the second was successfully conducted. He caused tax cuts to be enacted and signed the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act as well as others. He was reelected in 2004 and the democrats regained control of Congress in 2006 and soon after a recession began.

President Carter was responsible for deregulating some industries, created the Department of Energy and the Department of Education and also returned the Panama Canal to Panama. The Iran Hostage situation occurred, interest rates were high enough to create a negative effect and he was often viewed as being inept.

Ratings to date:
#4 President George W. Bush
#5 President Truman
#6 President H. W. Bush
#7 President Nixon
#8 President Kennedy
#9 President Roosevelt
#10 President Carter

MOSTLY ABOUT ME lswift8@aol.com
Thursday I met with the guys for breakfast with only Jack, Paul and I present. I then went to a store and the post office. Was busy at home and have now about given up on my search for my missing check folder. I really like the gospel song presented below.

REMEMBER NEW 9-5-16

The democrats brought you Obamacare.
Obama, Clinton, Reid, and Pelosi lead the forces of evil.
Hate crime laws should be overturned.
Baseline budgeting is a taxpayer insult.
Hillary Clinton's actions risked our national security.
Your life is affected by politics every day.
Only you can think for you: do it and vote.

SCOTUS: undeserving of respect.
Your political party is not more important than your country!
