IF IT WERE HILLARY

This, as is true of much of the “news”, is an opinion piece: Linden’s opinion.

It has been three months (bad months) since the election of Barack Obama and about three times that long since it was determined who would be the nominee of the democrats. If Hillary Clinton had won both of these contests, one has to wonder what would be the present condition of our country.

Would she have selected Bill Richardson for Commerce? No way! She would have ensured that his “pay for play” approach would have been discovered and she would have selected another. It would have been DUMB to do otherwise.

Would she have selected Timothy Geithner for Treasury? No way! She would have ensured that his tax problem would have been discovered and she would have selected another. It would have been DUMB to do otherwise.

Would she have selected Tom Daschle for Health? No way! She would have ensured that his tax problem would have been discovered and she would have selected another. It would have been DUMB to do otherwise.

Would she have selected Nancy Killifer for “Performance”? No way! She would have ensured that her tax problem would have been discovered and she would have selected another. It would have been DUMB to do otherwise.

In other words, she is too smart to allow the perception that democrats in general are a bunch of tax cheats. Even though one does have to wonder.

Lastly, would she have returned the favor and selected Barack Obama for State? NO WAY! We have already inferred that she is smarter than him. We can only wonder how she would have handled the current financial crisis and even if there would be such a crisis.

LINDEN'S LIFE
Linden was a few minutes late for the breakfast meeting with Bill and Chuck. As soon as he entered the restaurant, he was handed the phone and it was Paul, calling from Florida with a weather report: Hateful guy! Later, almost left my glasses in the barber shop after getting a haircut: Luckily, Bob, the barber, yelled at as I was almost ready to get in the car. Lucky me!

Each sold book will result in a half dollar donation to International Disaster emergency Services www.ides.org and an additional half dollar will be donated if the sale originates in a state or an Indiana county from which no sale has been previously made this year. The goal is to donate sufficient funds to buy two goats this year for the less fortunate. Hope this approach works.
