ARE YOU BETTER OFF?

Linden knows that it is really none of his business whether or not you are better off now than you were at the time, just over six months ago, when Barack Obama was almost certain to be our next President. However, he will say, it is always good for one to analyze their own progress, if any.

Several who read this will measure the condition of their own stock portfolio and realize that they have performed better than the DJIA if they have lost less than 40% of the value of their holdings since that time six months ago.

Several who read this will realize that they are doing much better than many families if they are current with their house payment obligation.

Several who read this may consider themselves fortunate indeed if they have not been adversely affected by a plant or business closing or a layoff.

Some of those who read this will ponder over the degree of responsibility held by the democrat voters in Connecticut and Massachusetts for the very real possibility that their “golden years” will be less well funded than it appeared they would be.

A very few of those who read this will believe that the future for America looks brighter now than it did just over six months ago.
